By the morning light on the top deck of the ship, Aunt Beatrice
was enjoying a morning cocktail, Grinch Spritzer.
Ingredients
1 part lime sherbet
1 part lemon-lime soda
1/2 part vodka
Directions
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine vodka, and lemon-lime soda. Shake well; pour into glass filled with ice. Top with lime sherbet
No, she was not a Grinch this morning…but why should she be
feeling like a Grinch?
Aunt Beatrice found a ship hand to talk to this morning.
The sun was shining brightly, so she put on her sunglasses,
freshen her red lipstick and powdered her nose.
Ahh, to be in the company of a young man.
It was going to be a glorious day.
Her new found friend was from Bulgaria.
Krystof was about 20 years old and signed on to work on
the ship to help his parents. They lived in a poor village
in Bulgaria and were getting older and could not work anymore.
Aunt Beatrice sat quietly drank her cocktail and listened to
Krystof’s story about his life and his dream of going to America
someday to be a medical doctor.
Dreams, we all have dreams.
