Secrets Saga #12

Congressman Jamison arrived in the Bahamas to a new well-kept secret.

“You made it to paradise, James. Come with me, I’ll mix you a drink.”

“Sam, nice to see you again. It’s been four months since we were all together in Monaco.”

“Yes, it has been that long. I’ve lost track of time here in this beautiful place.”

“Sam, who’s house is this?”

“It belongs to a wealthy Senator, or I should say, a former Senator from Ohio.”

“It’s very nice place and right on the beach.”

Sam mixed James a drink and they settled down in chairs facing the ocean.

“Lilly would love it here.”

“James, let’s talk about Lilly. You know she is half your age. Maybe, you should

consider that in your equation.”

“I know, I know Sam. I just wish she would understand

what I can say and what I can’t.”

“Take it slowly, James she will come around. She totally in love with you

and has been for years. Give Lilly a chance.”

“I’m sure you are right about giving her time and space.”

“James, on the phone, I told you I have a secret. I have someone I want you to meet.”

“Am I going to like this?”

“I hope so because I’m in love her and we have been

together for the past four months.”

Slowly walking into the living area was a beautiful woman

dressed in a swimsuit carrying a beach towel.

“Bonjour, Sam and Mr. James.”

Sam stood up and extended a hand to the love of his life.

“James, let me introduce you to Gabriella.”

Secrets Saga #11

Sam Houston was kicking back at the beach when he got a text from James Jamison.

“SHE BROKE UP WITH ME”

Sam re-read the text.

What was going on in Washington DC?

Sam had spent the few months in the Bahamas surfing, playing tennis

and just plain relaxing.

Sam didn’t text James back, instead he picked up his phone

and called James.

“Hey, what’s happening?”

“Sam, I messed up with Lilly. I didn’t tell her about our behind the scenes

action in the jewelry heist.”

“OK, but it was listed as top-secret. She doesn’t have a top-secret clearance.”

“You and I know that but somehow Lilly doesn’t understand the working of

the Agency.”

“Listen, James, these things are going to happen, just relax. It will blow over.

Why don’t you fly down to the Bahamas for the weekend and we can talk about

your situation.”

“Sounds good, Sam but I must ask you, are you alone or with someone?”

“James, I am in good shape, happy and want you to meet her. I’ve been keeping

a secret from you but I’m sure you will understand. So come on down and let’s party.”

James hopped on the next flight and flew down to meet up with Sam

in the Bahamas.

Secrets Saga #10

Secrets and betrayal

It’s always uncomfortable to confront someone you love.

You don’t want to hear the truth because you know in your heart,

you can’t trust that person.

Putting on a brave face and red lip stick, Lilly met James for dinner.

“You look lovely, Lilly.”

“Thank you. So, it was a rough day in Congress?”

“You could say that. Now, tell me more about your day.”

Lilly didn’t know where to start. Her emotions were running wild.

“James, I can’t believe you didn’t inform me of your secret mission

in Monte Carlo.”

“It wasn’t so secret. We had an assignment, we accomplished it.

End of story.”

Lilly laughed out loud.

“End of story? I don’t think so. I’ve decided to break our engagement.

I can’t rely on you to tell me the truth; you are keeping secrets.”

Lilly slipped her ring off of her finger and laid on the table

in front of James.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m breaking up with you and with all these top-secrets you carry around.”

“But Lilly wait.”

Lilly got up from the table and walked out on James.

WASHINGTON D.C. HAS ITS SECRETS.

Lilly was confused about people and places that hold secrets.

She didn’t expect for James to conceal his involvement in the Cartier heist.

He was lying to her, and she was exasperated.

Lilly felt left out of the loop.

Lilly walked around the Capitol for a few hours, taking in all

the tourist sites. She needed to calm herself down before she met James

for dinner that night.

PHONE CALL … Not a secret.

It was no secret that Lilly Lee was upset when she heard about the rumor.

Calls to James went unanswered for hours.

When Congressman James Jamison called Lilly back, he was not in the best of moods.

“Lilly, what’s so important that you had to leave four text messages and two voice mails?

“I had to know if the rumor is true?”

“Lilly, I really don’t know what you are talking about.”

“James, the talk at the Agency is that you and Sam solved the Cartier heist. Is that true?”

“Lilly, I’ve been in session with Congress for over five hours. I’m tired of their game

playing here, they are trying to pass bills that the American people are not going

to like very much. Our hands are tied, we don’t have enough votes to stop them.

Now, please don’t ask me something I can’t answer.”

“Why not, James. I need to know what went on behind my back in Monte Carlo.”

“Lilly, I can’t tell you; it’s classified as top-secret.”

Lilly furious and hung up from the phone call.

4 months later in Washington DC

Agent Lilly Lee was taking a coffee break in the company lounge at the Agency

when a fellow agent came into the room looking for Lilly.

“Oh, hi Cindy, what’s up?”

“Is the rumor true Lilly?”

“What rumor is that… is there something going on?”

“It’s about your fiancĂ© and Sam Houston.”

“Let me guess, hmmm….okay, tell me, Cindy.”

Cindy moved closer to Lilly and whispered, “It’s top-secret information,

but I found out that they were the ones spear heading the investigation into the Cartier heist

in Monaco.”

“What? No way, I was there.”

“You were there but they found the robbers, had them arrested

and solved the caper and recovered the jewels.”

“Cindy, that can’t be true. I’m going to call James right now.”

Lilly left the company lounge and immediately called James.

Her message went to voice mail.

Lilly was taken back by the rumor news…James and Sam solved the heist.

So, James had that secret between them, and he lied to her.

A CUP OF TEA & SECRETS?

“James, Where’s Sam, I haven’t seen him all day?”

“Sam was here this morning, he said he had some errands to do.

Why do you need him?”

“No, but it is quiet around the villa without him.”

“Let’s have a tea party this afternoon, just you and me.”

“Sounds wonderful, James.”

The chef prepared a picnic basket filled with treats to

go with the tea.

James and Lilly relaxed by the water and

Secrets Saga #3

CHEERS to revealing secrets…

Sam took Gabby to a dingy bar for drinks. He started her off slowly

with light drinks and then went in for the “kill”. Tequila was in order

to get Gabby to reveal some real answers regarding the Cartier jewelry heist.

After three shots of Tequila, Gabby was talking.

Sam was asking the questions.

Gabby was willingly answering them in French.

Since Sam was fluent in French, it was not a problem.

Sam’s ex-wife was French, and they lived in Paris for several years.

Hearing Gabby speak French brought back many memories for him.

He pushed those good and bad thoughts from his mind as Gabby talked.

After Sam got the information he needed, he took Gabby home that evening.

He was the last person to see Gabby alive.
