Guests have arrived at Winfield House, the official Regent’s Park residence of the US Ambassador, for a lavish dinner at which Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will be the US President’s guests of honor.
The Duke and Duchess smiled for photographs standing next to the President and First Lady as Mr. Trump, in advance of the dinner this evening held to reciprocate for last night’s lavish banquet at Buckingham Palace.
The mansion in Regent’s Park is serving as the Trumps’ base while they are in town. According to the President’s itinerary the Trumps and the royal couple will enjoy a ‘pre-reciprocal dinner reception’, then a ‘presentation of guest’, before the reciprocal dinner and finally the signing of a guestbook.
The President and First Lady waited outside to greet Charles and Camilla. Marine guards opened the door to royal the car and President greeted the prince with a handshake.
Melania Trump looked stylish as she changed into a red Givenchy dress for a dinner at Winfield house this evening.
The First Lady, 49, joined husband Donald Trump in the grounds of the house, which is the second-largest private garden in the capital after Buckingham Palace.
She paired the designer floor length gown, priced at £5,610 with diamond stud earrings and her hair styled in loose waves.
The red wool-crepe gown includes a bead-embroidered bodice panel and long cape sleeves that are slit open at the front, then falls to a long fluid skirt, finished with a satin godet insert and side-slip pockets.
Both woman look amazing in their gowns.
Camilla, 71, arrived in Winfield House with the Prince of Wales, 71, wearing a white gown by one her favorite designers Fiona Clare – which had with a pretty embroidered overlay. She accessorized it with a diamond necklace.
She first wore the beautiful dress during a trip Athens last year. Camilla wore her hair down with a natural makeup and glossy lip.
In the dining room, six round tables have been set out, seating 10 people each, each laid with a white tablecloth, white roses and white candles.
The President’s table will also seat Mrs. May and Prince Charles, on the President right; while his wife will dine with Philip May and the Duchess.
Normally the Lord Mayor of London would hold his own banquet on the second night of a state visit by a foreign leader. Well, that was not going to happen. I like the Winfield House better. Mayor, who?
Very elegant table setting.

Sitting down for some wine. Melania Trump, sitting down with Camilla Duchess of Cornwall and Suzanne Ircha, the wife of the US ambassador to London.
Guests at the black tie dinner will dine on fresh burrata cheese with heritage tomatoes, basil, and Maldon salt; grilled fillet of beef with pommes Anna, watercress pure, celeriac and chantenay carrots; followed by summer berries, homemade vanilla ice cream with Muscovado sugar tuile.
The wines will come from the Iron Horse winery in northern California: a chardonnay with the starter, a pinot noir with the main course, and champagne with dessert. CHEERS!!
Ivanka Trump looked in good spirits this evening as she made her way to Winfield House. The eldest daughter of President Donald Trump looked stunning as she made her way to the US ambassador to the UK’s residence located near Regent’s Park this evening for a dinner with her father Donald Trump and the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.
The mother-of-three, 37, wore a off-shoulder white gown for the occasion, while she accessorized it with beautiful earrings, a sparkling brooch and a silver clutch bag. Shoes-wise, Ivanka opted for satin pumps from Jimmy Choo, adorned with crystals which cost $857. She wore her hair in a stylish bun and kept her make up to a minimum.
There were no speeches, unlike the previous evening, but the Prince and the President both gave brief toasts.
President Trump said: ‘To Her Majesty The Queen and Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.’
Charles in his toast said: ‘Ladies and Gentlemen please would you join me in toasting The President of The United States of America and Mrs. Trump.
Outside the intimate dining room, as guests chatted animatedly, the US flag flew at half mast in remembrance of the 12 killed by a gunman in Virginia Beach last week.
Other guests from the US side included Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, and National Security Advisor John Bolton.
The menu, selected by the First Lady, will be sure to please her husband, a man of famously plain tastes who can regularly be seen dining on fast food.
Though no doubt sourced from the finest ingredients and prepared by the finest chefs, the meal amounts to beef and potatoes followed by vanilla ice cream. ( love it )
