BEACH HOUSE SAGA #5

GOOD WEATHER TO SAIL.

Sam Harley was out sailing his yacht with his new love interest,

Claudia Weiss, along the Florida coast in the late afternoon.

Ms. Weiss was a divorcee who caught Sam’s eye at a recent Charity auction.

They both hit it off immediately.

Claudia was a wealthy lady who received a huge divorce settlement

from her husband, Richard Weiss III.

The Weiss family was fortunate to have invested in oil wells in Texas.

This afternoon Sam and Claudia didn’t have a care in the world…sailing the blue ocean

and a few cocktails were included to make in a perfect day.

Sam looked down at his iPhone and saw that his houseboy, Ricco was calling him.

What could be that important that he was interrupting a lazy smooth sail.

“Yes, Ricco, what’s up?”

“Hey boss, sorry but the front gate guard, Jacob, called to tell me

that there is a woman at the gate wanting to visit you.”

“I’m not expecting one. Who is it?”

“Her name is Dr. Peggy Mitchell. Are you Ok, boss. Do I need to call 911 for you.”

“No, no, I didn’t call a doctor and please don’t call 911.

Claudia and I are doing just fine out here.

Send the doctor away, please.”

“OK, boss, will do.”

Sam disconnected his phone and set it back down on the deck.

“What was that all about, Sam?”

“Someone appeared at the front gate thinking they could get by Jacob

with an emergency doctor call. Nothing to worry about.”

But Claudia was concerned.

She wasn’t about to let another woman move in on her territory.

Claudia had worked too hard to finally land Sam Harley.

“Sam, why don’t you drop the ship’s anchor. Looks like it’s going to a beautiful sunset

and I’ll make us a couple of TEQUILA SUNRISES.”

“Why SUNRISES when it’s only a sunset, Claudia?”

“Because Sam, it’s going to be a cozy night before the sun rises.”

Without saying another word Sam went and dropped the ships’ anchor in the bay.

OH, WHAT A NIGHT.

(Song by The Four Seasons, 1963)

Oh, what a night
Hypnotizin’, mesmerizing me
She was ev’rything I dreamed she’d be
Sweet surrender, what a night.

I felt a rush like a rollin’ ball of thunder
Spinnin’ my head around ‘n’ takin’ my body under
Oh what a night.
